The 36-year-old Jones has spent his entire professional career with the Braves. A stalwart in the heart of the batting order of Atlanta's National League East dynasty over a span of nearly 15 years, Jones now joins an elite group of active players who have accumulated a career batting average of .300 with 400-plus home runs and more than 1,300 RBI along with Frank Thomas, Manny Ramirez and Alex Rodriguez.
The blast also moved Jones into sole possession of 43rd place on the all-time home run list, one ahead of both Andres Galarraga and Al Kaline.
